Anne Curtis says she has no plans of suing airline for her missing ring
After arriving last week from a trip abroad where she taped scenes for her new drama series Green Rose, Anne Curtis lost the $600 ring she bought for her birthday when she left the carry-on bag where it was on the plane when she arrived via Cathay Pacific Airlines Flight CX 905 at 10:47 pm. Half an hour later when she was given permission to board the plane to retrieve her bag, the container was found, but the ring was already gone. A sad and teary-eyed Anne was interviewed by the media afterwards. Airline authorities also issued a statement saying that an investigation will be made regarding the incident. Anne has been vocal about how disappointed she was over the incident, considering that it was only a brief period between the time she last saw her carry-on bag to when she retrieved it.

During the presscon for her upcoming romantic comedy movie with Luis Manzano entitled Who’s That Girl, a visibly happier Anne shared recent developments between her and Cathay Pacific. “Well so far Cathay Pacific has been in touch with me and nag-apologize sila sa nangyari. And so far, they said they’re willing to compensate for the loss. So tingnan natin, sana they really push through with it. Although they gave their word naman that they will. So aantayin ko na lang. Although they wont replace the ring itself, just the value of the ring. Papalitan naman nila,” she said during her interview with the local media at City Best restaurant along Morato Avenue last February 4.

The Who’s That Girl actress, who was also paired with Luis in movies like All About Love in 2006 and Cute ng Ina Mo in 2007, said she never had any plans of taking legal action towards the airline because they acted swiftly on the matter. “For me kasi, the only reason I would take action is if they didn’t do their part. But they did, they reached out to me, their country manager, a British man, made an effort to apologize. He wasn’t in the country when it happened but they said that they were terribly sorry. They said they would make up for it. I really, really appreciate that. The only reason I would take action is kung wala silang ginawa,” she said.
